Rules & Regulation

Years ago, not many small business owners had emergency generators. However, after the last few years of extreme weather, many facilities have now purchased emergency generators.

NJDEP requires that Emergency Generators run on Diesel, Kerosene, or #2 fuel oil with a capacity of 1 million BTU per hour or greater be permitted with the new GP-005a permit.

You can learn more about the GP-005a here

Natural Gas Permit

Natural Gas and propane-powered generators with 1 million BTU per hour or greater capacity must be permitted with the new GP-005b permit.

This permit cannot be obtained online; it requires a paper application. Please contact us for more information.
